Richard--

You may be right: I can feel the boiling oil tickling my toes already.

Though of course management and ownership is holding far more of this paper than we are, I presume. One wonders why they'd do something quite this dumb. But then perhaps they have SO much stock that they figure they'll be winners in the end, if they can keep the company afloat. (Well, oil IS lighter than water, though potatoes are not.)

Reverse splits do sometimes work: quite a few of the Y2K companies have pulled them off successfully in the not too distant past. But then their stock was never as cheap to begin with, and the splits were not nearly as dramatic as TFRY/FRYA's.
