Justa,re:video tapes etc. Sounds like most stuff will be out 9AM Monday. I see nothing happening fast and in fact I think recent events are moving things Clinton's way in the near term. The reason for this is the issue as of this morning is now being framed in more partisan terms particularly in the Judiciary Committee. The Republicans are a bit frustrated that they don't see movement in the polls on the crucial questions of job approval and whether you want Clinton impeached or to resign. Also many will resent the release of more pornographic material and who they blame for this is likely to be dependent on their prior feelings and not likely to move opinion. I continue to think and so far the market is reacting like anything that makes Clinton look slightly better and decreases the chance of impeachment will be favorable to the market especially since the polls will be his only ally in getting a censure of some type and stopping this from going to the Senate. Also the increased partisanship makes it a less likely to have many Democratic defections any time soon. Right now it looks like Clinton is pushed into a rope adope strategy with all the punches being thrown at him while he hangs on. whether at some point he survives the assault to continue as a battered and bruised president we will have to see
