Well, one's sexual life is not just a personal matter, it is a private matter. And as long as it does not imperil the President's capacity to carry out his duties, and as long as the nation's security is not at stake, it really shouldn't matter. Even if it did get out of hand (like the President getting involved with a spy from another country, for instance), I would rather have the Secret service and the Congress quietly go about the business and give me a summary at the end of it all. No gory details for me, thank you!
Yes, some people get away with things that we wouldn't do. But that's the way the world works! This is not Utopia.
And finally, as far as these issues are concerned, I am about as prudish as one can get. In fact, my friends are utterly astonished to see me defend President Clinton when, in all my life, I never have and never will do what he did! My reply to that is that I have to acknowledge that people are different and I cannot stand in judgement as to their personal behavior.
