Republicans are utilizing their political
to make a mockery of what is supposed to be a
fair judicial system.

At the same time they have insulated themselves
from ethical scrutiny by changing Ethics
Committee rules to prevent outside groups
from bringing ethical violation charges to the attention of the committee. Newt and Delay got these rules
changed after both came under investigation
for questionable ethical practices. Newt
was investigated and fined, mainly because
Delay and Army were conspiring to remove
Newt. Delay agreed not to talk to his brother
about congressional matters, after he was charged
with representing interests of his brother's clients.
