Next's OS, Mach, a unix dialect ran on more platforms than any other OS before Next stopped work on it. A MacOS emulator already exists for it. You can open separate windows running software written for NT, Mac, Sun, and HP. Once Apple updates it, with Next's programming tools and enterprise, internet/intranet strengths Apple has a basis for a strong multiplatform influence.
