great education, hal. thank you. as to sony, i was about to add in my earlier post, a note along the lines that you have followed. sony's commitment to the consumer market remains in many ways unequalled... and for a number of reasons, this committment seems also to be accelerating as well. of what relevance to ampex... beyond the inroads to digital tv, one might also consider the increasingly large investment they have made in the area of online entertainment. station.sony.com i wonder if this direction might not also afford to ampex some potential growth. more food for thought.
