between a rock and a hard place. If he admits a lie Star is waiting in the wings to put him in jail after his term is over .If not he is selfish.I know you would say that this is his own making and for sure you are largely correct .Be that as it may we are in this situation and I believe Star should ease up on his obsession and give BC enough slack so as to resolve the situation.

You have summed it up pretty well. I also agree that Clinton will not end up in jail. Perhaps some out of court settlements. Hollywood will pay Bill's fines.

Starr's not much of a player in the current crisis now that the ball is in Congress' court. The national crisis would settle down in two weeks if Clinton came clean IMO.

Without knowing the facts I find it premature to ease up on the other gates. Sex scandals make good diversions. The WH seems to be trying to focus attention on sex. Their contention that this is all about sex does not ring true with me. Maybe I am reading a different Starr report. I see a concerted effort by more than one individual to falsely testify in court. One individual making false statements in court is one thing. What is it when two people know in advance that they are going to make false statements in the same court? sex? Maybe its Clinton's definition of justice.<g>
