Darrell, do you have any wild guesses as to how high oil will have to rise, and for how long a period of time, before day rates firm up and began to rise - and have you checked lately on current dayrates?

Obviously, everyone's expecting a bum quarter but not everyone expected oil to pop back to $15 before it ended. We may be getting some help from Gulf weather, but it only sped up the inevitable. I fully expected oil to retrace some of its gains, and it may, but if there's a 1.8 million barrel/day supply/demand deficit (IEA 4th qtr estimate) every week that passes will soak up a lot of excess crude inventory.

Best of luck,

Steve
