That's where the complicated part comes. I was just putting forward a theory to explain the seemingly contradictory swings in the spread. We're taking the simple view of looking at the current NAV as measured by current market capitalization. We're not looking at the quality of that NAV. We'd have to measure the "objective" value of each holding, and then compute a weighted composite valuation of those results to come up with a true value for SFE. I doubt that we have the means to analyze it to that degree. I'm not proposing that we even try. Someone else with far better tools and data is doing that - we're just along for the ride. <g>
