Dave, Cohen & Steers are bright guys. I almost went to work with them back in the National Securities days. I liked the people at National, but didn't trust the ownership. That was one of my few great calls. Cohen & Steers ended up in a long court battle, as did several top managers at the firm. They all had equity positions in the co., but after the takeover, they didn't get a nickle. The folks who bought the firm promised them years and millions of dollars fighting the lawsuits, and counter-sued all the people they had cheated. Everyone backed off. Am I glad I was not there. I would have gone bankrupt fighting them. -g- MB
