My company did some business in Russia. Interesting how it was done. Client would sell his product or acquire a commodity needed in another country by another company. Client would ship the product or commodity to that company. That company would pay us in dollars for the commodity. We would then furnish our services to the Russian company. We got paid, Russian company got our service, another company acquired Russian company goods, or a Russian commodity acquired by the Russian company. All transactions was cleared through each country as legal. Wonder if Compaq has investigated doing business this way.
