Brooks, there is more....

messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

I personally bank at B of A, and use home banking, and I'm far from impressed. My car payment (which is also at B of A) has taken 12, 14 and 17 days to get posted. How can this happen? The Homebanking guys told me they cut a check and MAIL it to the center that handles the payment.

...and if I may add...you can only use BoA's home banking if you bank in the state of California, the rumor is that BoA built a good system, but in order to do is cost effective they decided NOT to build a multi-state system, kind of explains CF's role(FYI NationsBank has multi-state, web based banking)....some more info...

The proprietary California platforms are not as fresh as the code in NationsBank's Model Bank, and the large corporate platforms are needing fresh code also. So, from a technology view, the merger makes sense to rely on the NationsBank code.

...In addition I heard that NB is definatly Y2K ready, BAC may not be. Of course I'm making an assumption that If they use NB's backend system, they are more likely to use the NB on-line banking system as well, since it is already integrated.
