Buzz, Yup. You are another Buzz Mills. I figured this out Friday when I was talking to his cousin who got me on track. Anyway, wichever Buzz Mills you are, you are doing a bang up job here and providing lots of insightful information & I thank you.
I am in a deal with CWEI on the eastern shelf of the permian basin. An analog field has produced over 5 million barrels of oil. It is tricky oil country with small but prolific features than you can only determine as being oil or salt water by drilling. CWEI has 35%
of the prospect and I have less. We origionally were going to shoot some cheap 2-D seismic which we did. It looks good but CWEI's geologist recommended we now shoot 3-D which I okayed eventhough the price of poker had doubled. Now we need more acerage and the bids on the seismic and acerage show our prospect has trippled in price.
I balked, and have talked to the majority of the working intrest owners who also want to skip the 3-D now and drill. Claytie has deep pockets and would rather do the 3-D but may be kind enough to back off for our sake and or may get voted down.
Will keep you posted as we progress as this could be a significant find even for CWEI.
Would you be willing to identify the several oil & gas stocks that you favor as having the most short term potential. YOu watch so many and we are all interested in the thoughts of the "oil guy". Again thank you for your many efforts.
Miller
