RE: "My goodness, almost everybody I saw thinks we are either going to test 7400 or sink right through it within a few weeks."

I believe that even Bob thinks we may test 7400.

Re: "The television mind set had the release of the Clinton tapes on Monday as the reason for the market's action today going into next week."

Given the triple witching day, the market action seemed quite tame today. Who knows, maybe the panic is running out of steam.

Re: "The street can read the Starr report. They know what the deal is here. Making a bad movie of it should not cause the market to go into a tailspin."

I think the Clinton perjury is mostly already priced into the market. I'm still a little concerned about the global economic situation, though, and how it might affect the tech stocks such as semiconductors and semiconductor equipment. My fear is that the downturn could be longer than even recently anticipated. Also remember that even companies like MCD get more than half of their profits from overseas. The weak currencies should hurt these multinational companies as well.

After all is said and done, I am still bullish at these levels. Nevertheless, I wish I had a little more dry powder for later.

Best wishes,

I2
