Fleckenstein - People are talking about deflation in the world, and we want to bet on the only commodity that has truly collapsed in price throughout its history: semiconductor parts, especially memory.

While I think Fleckenstein may be right overall, (that we may enter a recession), his logic is a little flawed:

1) Semiconductor parts are deflationary (true)

2) Therefore investment in semiconductor parts is a bad idea (false - by that logic it should always have been a bad idea, and this is obviously false. For semiconductors the deflation has generally resulted in bigger markets as the number of units (transistors) grows even faster than the deflation.)
