A Shill After All

Dear Barb:

I am greatly enjoying reading "Mr. Pink's Picks," and I appreciate that it is an open forum where all are invited to come and learn. Thanks for your contributions.

Pardon me if I ask a simple question, though, about the ground rules for participation on this board. Are we allowed to point out something positive about a company that is being shorted by people here? I would think that anyone who takes a position on a stock, long or short, would want to gather as much information as possible to evaluate their investment decision. And yet it seems that whenever a positive thing is said about a company where the prevailing position is short, they are immediately called a "shill," and a "sore loser long." Marty seems like an inoffensive sort to me.

I guess my question is - should I only post negative comments about companies? I haven't yet contributed to the discussion about companies here, but I want to know where I stand before doing so.

Yours truly,

The Boom Dog
