poeticjustice, this thread is sort of my home so most of these people already know how I feel on this issue. I actually have no party affiliation, although I did vote for Clinton, but at this point I have already said that I think he should step down because however you feel about this scandal he is ineffective as a leader.

On this issue of supporting him vs. non, and what if Clinton were a conservative, how can a woman defend this, etc. Well I dont like what he did, I dont think Ive heard anyone say that. But, the problem is, the republicans for years now have run on platforms that I resent, as do a lot of women. They take these issues like abortion and family values and make a huge deal out of it, base entire conventions on it etc. so every woman knows that if they support a republican its going to mean a direct hit to their quality of life. Clinton otoh has an affair in the oval office, and has had lots of affairs. Well thats not too good but I really think thats between Bill,Hillary and Monica dont you? In fact the overzealous way the conservatives have latched on to this very private matter has just confirmed to me that they cant accept any even slight deviation from their moral code... which is not my moral code.... so thats how I justify supporting Clinton. Its as simple as that.
