Mikey, Mikey!! You are becoming what you despise...a promoter!! It is apparant that this desposit is minerlized from the surface down to maybe even has deep as 1 kilometer.
There are NO deposits in all of Chile' mineralized to one kilometer, any that are even close are copper systems, not gold!!
I still think most of the posters here have completely, totally missed the importance of this deposit because of the recent decline in share price, poor managment decisions, the feeling that this is just another hook and sinker type hype or something. Do your DD people! Read the research thread. Read the house report-read the journal articles-learn your geology. If you don't understand the geology, you are bound to have wrong conclusions about this. Also, how will you interept drill results when they come out?(Actually, I'm sure Mr. Chief will be more than happy to provide interpretation-still do you want to depend on somebody's else thinking instead of your own when it comes to your investment dollar?
The research thread has provided all with a clear description of the properties, no doubt. However, it is a large leap in faith to assume that "ANY" of these deposits are commercially viable at this point! To insinuate that the "boat" is leaving is a hype that we are not familiar with, from you Mike! I have 8 geological studies and reports of various properties in Chile that all "HAD" remarkable indicators, some with 18 g/t but all were duds!! I have others that have developed into mines, or are under construction! The interesting thing is that all the reports were glowing indicators of a "chance in a lifetime", all were multi-billion lb copper or multi-milllion ounce gold probable deposits....ALL!!
The "greater possibility" is that this little Chilean that drilled the 30 some odd metres and got this marvelous core.....drilled it into a visible gold vein structure that is not contiguous nor consistent! If I owned the property and wanted to sell it, I would drill into a visible vein of gold.....Chile is riddled with visible gold veins....the people mine them with pick axe and shovel daily!
Why go so deep with the drill? Not because the minerlization is only located at depth-but because the minerlization extends to great depth-at least based on what the IP shows so far.
You have read up on IP's and the "illumination like a xmas tree theory"! You have chosen to believe full mineralization and are professing it!! I think then the thread should also understand what the famous 700 metre drill hole may also hold!! It is possible that the breccia cap is not mineralized sufficiently to economical grades, however it will still illuminate, remember IRON is a conductor!! The porphry may be as deep as 400 metres below the breccia cap. If this were to be true, then the breccia cap would be considered "OVERBURDEN" and make this deposit debateable at the onset. The last 300 metres may then be the drilling of the porphry!! Certainly this is only a hypothesis, but then again so is yours!! "I say tomato, you say tomato!!(works better when you say it)
IMHO. The thread should provide a "balanced" explanation and avoid hype and bashing. Your last two posts were complete hype. Your substantiation for that hype is from a geological report "describing the superficial surface features" of a property with no supporting data indicating anything but a "good prospective property"!! To encourage hype at this point is not responsible IMHO!
"Illumination never ALWAYS = economical"
For the existing threaders of MDIN use your own judgement, as Mike has suggested, but nothing can dispute a "drill result", I am waiting for it!! My intentions are not to profess that the theory I have presented here, is correct, but... neither should you consider Mikes theory as being correct, until proven...there are two sides to every coin!!
Hopefully you will not take offence Mike!!
