I receive quite a few emails from all over the world. Mostly they are from people who shouldn't be speculating in the stock market and who have gotten under water. They are looking for someone to hold their hand or someone who can give them some kind of advice. I never reveal these communications. There are exceptions. When I receive info that I think belongs in the public venue, I divulge it. I recently received just such: I control over 7 million shares don't try to tell me what is going on. You don't know the Liberty deal. All you know is what you read. Dig into the release and figure it out. Liberty is betting millions not chump change. You are right 5 million is nothing but tens of millions is not. Do your homework. This is a pure play. I controlled 3% of cpq at 5 and people thought they could never get out of the shadow of IBM I was right. I believe IATV will be reality by 4th quarter this year. I don't know what to make of it. How does one control 30% of the float? Why divulge that? If one actually controls that much, what happens when trouble hits? Now, we all know the market has stopped going down, so there is no problem there for trouble, is there? I think I'd rather control 500K of LBTYA. That stock looks like it has put in a short term bottom as maybe IATV has, but when you consider the risk, you have to wonder just who is this clown controlling? ACTV has to succeed or this person has had it. Anyone doubt that we are in the grip of wild speculation? I should ask this person that if "all I know is what I read", what good will it do to "dig into the release"? Well, no one ever said that there is a correlation between education and success outside of the guaranteed existence factor. But the real kicker is the show of investment prowess. I smell fear. Real fear. To subject oneself to that kind of state isn't worth any quantity of money, but you have to be someone like Soros before you understand that miserable situation.
