Scrapps.. that's very funny. I was just thinking of all the energy, probity, wit and industry the Clinton/Starr Sex in the Whitehouse episode has produced... AND wondering what that same quantity of energy could have produced elsewhere.

We could have easily cleanded up all the grafitti, roadside litter, superfund sites, and doubled the number of forrest rangers in Montana.

I was touched last night watching the Majority Whip Republican DeLay speaking at the Christian Coalition... in one of the most patently obvious ploys to show his sensitivity, morals and righteousness he paused in his speech..

While fumbling in his jacket breast pocket.. saying something like ".. in these troubled times, I find comfort and solace by keeping this ragged and torn but most dear document at all times, while I serve humbly in the House of Representatives.."

Then finally finding it he pulls out something the size of a train schedule and holds it up to the crowd while he catches his breath, chokes a little for emphasis...

".. I keep this over my heart at all times.. the Constitution of the United States" then he bowed his head, looked up to heaven, and bowed his head once more.
