Laura, You are right. I was speaking of covered calls. I have been long DELL for a little over a year and am very, very reluctant to sell under any circumstances. The PC industry has a bright future and I think there will be significant consolidation in the years ahead. Options seem like a good way to get some extra value from the stocks I intend to hold. I believe DELL reports earnings on Nov 19, they need to update that on their WWW site. I am therefore thinking of OCT 70 calls since I don't think they would get exercised. Good chance someone may want to exercise a NOV 70 call with the run up certain to happen at earnings. Fez
