Essam - right, my oversight. CNS Consolidated Stores, NYSE.

2 US stocks that have had significant block trades are KO, Coca-Cola & PEP, PepsiCo. These have not made a rise for one reason or other. Whether they could be due for a rise, I would not predict. Perhaps it isn't the right time for their sector right now.

I find that when there is a large block trade(s), say 300k & of a stock priced @ $20. US or more, it has an excellent chance of rising soon. IMO you should watch the volume closely & I like to see stocks that are not too thinly traded. Some thinly traded & low priced stocks move well but are less predictable, more risky.

I am not aware of any website that lists Canadian block trades as a group, perhaps there is such & I would like to know of it if such exists. As with any news, this info should be as fresh as possible. Perhaps the best way to find Cdn ones is to check lists of high volume or some screening programs should seek these out, I presume. I am not at present a subscriber to any of these.

Just my thoughts, others may have different ideas re the use of block trade info.
