With the possible exception of reversing the ban on partial birth abortions, exactly what piece of "social engineering" legislation have the Republicans put forth? BTW, it would be helpful if you define your terms. All laws which are enacted could be construed as "social engineering". The Dems have by far the worst record in passing legislation geared toward the redistribution of wealth in this country, remember LBJ's "Great Society"? "Social engineering" in it's most despicable form, imo. Would you consider for example granting education vouchers for individuals "social engineering?" bp
