jlallen, I just listened to Firing Line with William F Buckley,his guest was H.R. McMaster,a former general. Anyway he just wrote a book,called Dereliction of Duty,where is goes point by point through the Gulf of Tonkin "attack" and what LBJ knew and what he is proven to have lied about. Bob McNamara lied about the incident,there is no proof that an attack ever occurred and there is corrorboration evidence that it did not. There is absolute proof that LBJ lied about the cost,and the manpower needed to mount a war in Vietnam,since LBJ was given documentation by the Joint Chiefs of Staff that is would cost approx. 13.6 billion and he told the public it would cost 1 billion. Now that is really impeachable imformation,too bad LBJ is drank himself to death. He killed numerous amounts of Americans on information that he absolutely,unequivically lied about.
Get a clue, lying about sex is not killing 60,000 men,and wounding 250,000. There was an article about Iran-Contra I will did up,that too was an absolute lie by Reagan. I will find the documentation.
