I have to buy a new car one of these days.....my wife has a new Park Avenue and gets a new car every two years but I am attached to a BMW that I got in '85.
But Junior wants it, and probably will get a license next year so I have a new one slated for about the same time.
Rounders sounds familiar. I must have seen it, it's not a new movie, I'm certain. Anyway, I'm not much of a gambler. When we get together in Vegas you and Nemer have to show me the ropes. I'll bet almost anything on just about anything but it's all luck. I have a small...$50 a week...wager with a friend on football. The first week I just picked the Jets, did not know who they were playing. The second he picked the 'Skins, today he grabbed me on the 10th hole and I said the Jets again (did not even know who they were playing, I was lining up a birdie putt....missed it when he yelled over that I was giving him 8 and a half).
But I am beating him 3 for 3 so far this year. All luck. If I knew what I was doing I'd be dangerous.
Anyway, I have an e-mail message into Vicki Karas who knows Vegas better than I. I'm hoping she can give me a tip. But if not, and if Nemer does not get back, then I shall just take whatever jumps to mind. I think you mentioned the Luxor.....I'll take that one. Never having been there, one will be as good as the next the first time around. |
