People talk about "How can you trust this President"; I am left pondering, well, I can trust him on many policy issues I support.

Newt and the Republican's took the House in '94. What I found was that they couldn't be trusted once they got it. I don't trust them on the environment after lobbyists for the polluters started drafting the legislation themselves; the lazy Republican's weren't even doing the work themselves at this point. They were gutting the enforcement of environmental laws. All you have to do is see the physteria pollution outbreaks in the Washington D.C. region caused by chicken farm pollution or consider the hog farm pollution in N. Carolina to see the problems when laws aren't enforced in this area.

Can the Republican's be trusted with the surplus we now have; again; for me the answer is no. I'm counting on that Clinton veto of the 80 billion marriage penalty tax cut. I can sure trust him on that.

Race relations; I can trust that Clinton will try to move this country forward when it comes to race relations, a huge problem in this country. Clinton in a short period of time has helped enormously deal with the race baiting damage the Republican's caused in the late 80's.

I can trust that Clinton will appoint Supreme Court justices that are qualified for the bench unlike the Republican's that appointed an underqualified, far unqualified justice in Thomas who is just a rubber stamp for Scalia.

You folks want to talk about trust. I don't feel the Republican's can be trusted with policy.
