Yeah, I guess that counts. At least you could then learn from people who had actually met the person. I've never done that. Just been to a few picnics where you can meet the candidates. Often I speak with people returning from a tour at the Pentagon where they can get to know some of the elected officials. Second hand impressions from people I know and respect are pretty valuable to me. I did meet our local Congressperson Rick White at a luncheon. Only had a brief chat though. He struck me as a genuine person. Although he has only been to D.C. for 2 years. Heard some very funny stories about Feinstein. Seems she hated the military until they were about to close down Long Beach. Strikes me as kinda hypocritical Michael
