Pretty much all tax policy is social engineering. Political correctness is a Democrat legacy. Certain family values issues are primarily Democrat (preventing child abuse by turning nurses, school administrators and teachers into police adjuncts, promoting birth control or keeping abortion legal, etc.). As a matter of fact, all issues where you disagree with Republicans have a Democrat on the other side of the issue. Since the country is fairly evenly split between Republicans and Democrats, there are probably an equal number of people who feel about Democrats the way you do about Republicans. How do you resolve that when both sides insist on being so extreme?
