MileHigh,

There is a brief mention of Rambus in today's Dataquest "Semiconductor DQ Monday" (See Note below). The article is by Nathan Brookwood of Dataquest and is a summary of the events at the Intel Developer's Conference. Mr. Brookwood noted that the Conference sessions were organized along Intel's strategy of segmenting the market into "basic PCs" and "performance PCs" with the discussion of Rambus memory components *cutting across market lines.* (Emphasis mine)

The reason I think this is important is that for Rambus to really reach its potential we need to see it in both low end and high end systems (and set top boxes, toasters, washing machines, tooth brushes, and other compute intensive products :-) I'm encouraged every time I see a reference to Rambus memories cutting across all computer segments. Ultimately this will also put pressure on AMD and National to support Rambus as well.

Note: DQ Monday is an email update from Dataquest on breaking news in the semiconductor industry.

Regards,

Mark
