Gregg:

First point, about MOT, I stand corrected. I incorrectly assumed that MOT had/has no CDMA influence since I haven't seen a CDMA phone from them. Oh yeah, they were the ones who had their CDMA infrastructure torn out and the provider put in Lu's right?

Next point, about Samsung and profitablity. I never stated that Samsung wasn't profitable.
This is what I said:

Face it, if Samsung doesn't make any money off of their CDMA phone,
how long do you think it will take them(Samsung) to close down the production line.

I made a supposition that IF samsung weren't profitable.....

Now, about Nokia. Are you now listening to what the analysts say? No one can accurately estimate earnings. 16x/25x, who cares? Who owns the handset market as we speak in the digital arena? I think that victory goes to Nokia. It is the Q that is fighting an uphill battle on all fronts. Firstly, trying to win CDMA(IS-95) acceptance in the commercial marketplace. Secondly, trying to get the ETSI people to incorporate CDMA2000 with their WCDMA plan. Now the lastly is another supposition, if the companies start producing a WCDMA system, most likely the Q will sue for patent infringement. That will be a long and costly battle in a European court. What do you think the Q's chances will be then?
