Garrick,

Although I agree with some of your reasoning on DELL - at least fundamentally
speaking there are two factors you need to realize. DELL is courted by a large number
of MM's and the momentum and flight to this stock is difficult to argue with. I agree
that PC's are commodities or soon will be. I also have stated on this thread that there are new technologies on
the horizon that will limit PC growth further. BUT, DELL is loved by many and
continues to be - mainly due to a business model that remains unique in their industry.
So, regardless of the market or what competitors will do to match wits - until they do
analysts and MM's will continue to look to DELL as a winner.

Second problem with your reasoning (and I do hold ASND), is that ASND is pushing
it's way up do mainly to specluation of a buy-out by LU. There is easily $5 in that
stock - and maybe even $10 that is specluative. Also, ASND is trading 40% off it's 52
week high...DELL is not. So, the strength you're seeing in ASND and the
flatfootedness in DELL recently is a short term abberition. If you're a short term trader
you should indeed take advantage of this...but I wouldn't suggest that you move a
position out of DELL and into ASND. Rather margin a little DELL for some short term
CALL's on ASND to take advantage of the expected buy-out.

JMO, ;)
