I had Ameritrade before, but their server is very unreliable
and they don't update my position, even my market orders
for a long time, so forget about them ...

I use Datek for my regular account, they are fine ...
Waterhouse for my IRA (I was with them before they have
their web service), they are fine too ...
Dreyfus for options - I think they have the lowest option
commissions and their service is quite good ...

I think at this stage where the market moves so fast,
you need to maintain at least 2 and preferably 3 accounts,
so that if one server is down or busy, you can still
transact using other accounts, or every minute you sit
waiting, you might be losing quite an amount of money,
overall, the above 3 firms are fine with me, no problem
with any ...
