Thanks for that tidbit William. Makes me feel a lot better. I've lost money on almost every short worth mentioning, be it stocks, options, futures. And that very fact makes me take it up almost as a challenge every so often - only to come out poorer. I'm guessing your notes about specialist machinations apply only to short-term movements (between quarterly results,say) when there is no change in the underlying fundamentals of the stock?
