Whether we get sub-$500 pCs or not in US, I don't think it make much difference - just robbing Peter to pay Paul. IMHO, what would make a dramatic difference if if these PCs get pushed in the 3rd worlds. In US, Win98 costs too much. In the 3rd worlds, they will probably load 'em up with copied OS and that will dramatically lower the cost % wise. It's time the 3rd world market get jump-started. patrick
