Yes Sap is 3 years behind minimum in SCM... of course what he conveniently leaves off is its not like I2 and Manu are standing still etc. Nonetheless, the noise of Sap entering the space has caused a lot of disruption.

For me, it all comes down to the importance of SCM to your business... whether a 'best-of-breed' vendor is a requirement. I have always thought that for many businesses, Dell being one, and the new internet retailers, that the premier SCM package is an absolute necessity, while the best ERP package is not. Note that for some customers Manu is actually the best SCM v I2. In any case whether someone agrees with me on that or not is irrelevant unless its reflected in the stock price. Right now, Im not sure what would make the momentum come back to the enterprise sw sector.... and for the record Im still worried about Sap, and the license revenue percentage of their business.
