Ann, I agree with you 90%,all except the term limits issue. I don't think we should have specified limits,the voting population should be wise enough,and savvy enough to make a decision on who should stay and who should go. I think we need to educate the population as to what is done in politics,and who is doing it.
It should be a mandatory requirement that all people read something like Noam Chomsky's manufacturing consent,or his Chomsky reader.
It would be a shame if we forced a good man out of office for term limits.It makes me think of mandatory sentences for criminals,those types of things are only used in institutions when people cannot make decisions for themselves.
It would be a greater shame if those who want to undermine the constitution,and obfuscate the truth were left in office.
We need for the population to focus on the real issues,and to respond in an appropriate manner. The good of the society has got to preemt the needs of the individual.
