* * Intermagnetics General Corp. of Latham, N.Y., has been upgraded to "accumulate" by Low Priced Stock Survey of Hammond, Ind. * Parent of APD Cryogenics of Allentown, Intermagnetics stock peaked at over $25 per share with a surge in 1995 and has corrected ever since. The two largest markets for the firm's products are magnetic and refrigeration products, said Randall R. Roeing, an analyst with Low Priced Stock Survey, in the Sept. 14 report. * "In August, Intermagnetics won a $1 million order to supply materials to a maker of large-scale energy storage devices," Roeing said. "In early September, the company announced it was seeking a patent for a magnetic resonance-based food inspection system used for detecting bacterial spoilage. * "It looks to me like the worst is over for Intermagnetics." * Intermagnetics stock (Amex: IMG) closed at $6.81 per share Friday, down 6 cents.
