That yearly event, up north to Alaska, where the best of the best person + sled + husky dogs, do a many day race thru the land. Called an I-tin-er-ron, I think. Eventho at any time there is only one lead dog, the quality of all the husky dogs is such that each has leadership qualities, and the ability to lead others can be exercised and showned in many ways. From my personel view of this thread, Charles Bankes just released the lead dog responsibility to Paunch, and thru the light snow falling slowly there appears to be a light ahead. Eventho cats are better than dogs, and pound for pound "top dog", the looks and companionships of these husky dogs is beautiful and breathtaken. For any afterlife, let me be a husky sled dog. Then the next, I want to be a Siberian Tiger. Doug
