This is really ridiculous, if the case is tried in the US, like the article states, then wouldn't the pro-tobacco rulings of the last few months pretty much throw most, if not all, of these foreign cases out the window? I would imagine that such international cases will be far more complex than the state ones, due to completely different legal statutes, but still... What are the odds for these foreigners?
