Deloitte & Touche and Diversinet Form Strategic Alliance; The Delivery of Enterprise Security Solutions to Millions of Users
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1998--Diversinet Corp. (NASDAQ:DVNTF) (CDN:DVNT) a leading technology provider for authentication and authorization security for digital communications and electronic commerce over corporate networks, the Internet and telecommunication systems, today announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with Deloitte & Touche, one of the leading professional services firms providing accounting, tax and consulting services that create powerful business solutions for America and the world.
Under terms of the agreement, Diversinet will provide Deloitte & Touche with its Passport Certificate Server product, which issues digital certificates that associate a globally unique identifier and that protects user privacy, and services that include training for the software, and technical support. Deloitte & Touche will provide its clients with consulting and integration services for the Diversinet technology. Both companies will mutually refer their products and services to their client base.
The combination of Deloitte & Touche's security consulting and Diversinet's network security solutions will help satisfy the rapidly expanding e-commerce market, and will address the privacy issues facing many enterprises today.
