CPU...BGEN, HDI, INTV, YBTVA, SEGU, NMGC, AMD,CMVT and OSI.. a solid way to profit from your 'earnings plays' after the company has reported. "Street Beaters" are gobbled up by institutions, especially in these turbulent times. ACCOB and LZB were two I had from some last earnings plays last quarter, they are now sold.

The 10 stocks above I've been accumulating in 3-400 shares for an approximately 3-4 months (until next earnings season)hold. I was going to add NEON for a 6 month hold but I missed the 5 point run up yesterday. What I do is take the stocks with the best future prospects and/or best earnings report, wait for the pullback and buy I plan to do that every quarter. I try to get stocks with eps increases of double digits (at least 30%) and sometimes even triple digits. RMBS even might be a candidate but after earnings. In the next 8 weeks I'll be adding about 4 stocks to the list.
in. That is a good way to utilize earnings plays for the long term.
Capital for additions comes from my daytrading/swing trading portfolio and from my long term portfolio which I cut in half. I will no longer keep a long term portfolio for up to 5 years. I still have WLA, MSFT and CSCO.. from forever ago, but will even consider trading in WLA for FRX or WPI..

This is one good way to control your own destiny as best as possible.
