I think it's the fact that you see fit to repeat it over and over. Furthermore, your position is not all that brilliant. Everyone in the industry knows about the takeover potential...this coupled with CSCO consistently near their all time high doesn't make this short term call rocket science.
I think you would be better received if you came here and said "hey, pick up COMS, FORE, and ASND!!! They look great here. But suggesting selling CSCO to do it is counter to what many bulls here feel. CSCO will continue to do well and is a consistent performer with mush less risk. If you look at beta of the companies in question you'll see that CSCO is a far better bet. Sure, everyone should take some risk and ASND, COMS, FORE, XYLN, CS, MRVC (yike), and CIEN all look good here but also present more risk and higher betas. Over the last two weeks these stocks have done well - again mainly due to takeover rumors. Once these rumors go away or LU picks one up the others may just tank - again my point about risk.
So, asking folks to convert from a less risky investment to a more risky investment given current market conditions isn't all that well recieved. To be sure the past two weeks have been good to your postion - congratulations. Will the next two? or next two months? Cisco may still be in the 60's , but ASND could very well be in the 30's and CS in the single digits.
Anyway, I'm rambling. We get your point. If you have a new one please post it. Otherwise we don't need a play by play. Believe me we're watching.... ;)
