I think you should have read more of this thread before posting your responses. It seems you are under the impression that we want to short penny stocks? All that has been said is that there are those who can short penny stocks (MM's and foreign investors). A better point to make would be how can we find out for sure that a penny stock has been undeservedly shorted beyond the float and what if anything we can do to force them to cover. Also, not all stocks mentioned for shorting are penny stocks.

Please don't take offense to other posts who question your experience. I think the differences between your views and others on this thread are semantic. I value objective posts for all experienced investors and I think Cav would agree. It seems to me that you have gotten the impression that we on this thread are saying that "you" can short penny stocks. If you are looking for stocks to short then I can see that the penny stocks are of no value to you. This thread is not about us shorting penny stocks, but it is about causing those who have overly shorted a good stock to cover and gain in the upward momentum that would cause. This strategy may not be possible on a penny stock unless the company itself is trying to break the shorts.

I think once you understand our viewpoint on this thread it will clear up the misunderstandings.
