DIDAX Adds Online Insurance Center to Christian Web Site
Award-Winning crosswalk.com Moves to Enhance Broad Appeal, Revenue Streams Via Partnership With YourQuote.com
CHANTILLY, Va., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- DIDAX INC. (Nasdaq: AMEN - news) today announced the addition of a broad-based Insurance Center to the personal finance area of its award-winning Christian Web site, crosswalk.com(TM) (http://www.crosswalk.com). Crosswalk.com(TM) was launched last week to succeed DIDAX's Christian Community Network site, which won Best of the Christian Web's ''1997 Christian Web Site of the Year Award.''
The new Insurance Center, a partnership with YourQuote.com that is initially focused on life insurance, is designed to provide crosswalk.com's site visitors with clear, comprehensive and easily accessible resources for customized insurance planning. The site includes a biblical perspective on life insurance by Ron Blue; an in-depth buyers guide provided by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners; a glossary of insurance terms; expert Q&A areas; calculators and instant quote features; and a direct link to a range of insurance providers for initiating the application process. DIDAX will share in revenues generated from products purchased through the Insurance Center.
''We're pleased to incorporate these services into crosswalk.com,'' William Parker, CEO and President of DIDAX, said. ''Our members and visitors can find information and services that are widely needed and little understood -- including a biblical context for the product -- letting them learn and make informed insurance decisions without ever having to leave our Web site. It's a win for everyone involved, and we anticipate growing its value aggressively -- and adding additional insurance resources and products -- over the next several years.''
YourQuote.com is a creation of MAIN Financial Services, Inc., a life and annuity insurance marketing firm doing business as The MacNamee Group, and was specifically created to address the insurance needs and opportunities of the rapidly growing online Christian community. The partnership provides a customer-driven process with no sales contacts beyond those specifically asked for by the site visitor. Additional benefits include highly automated fulfillment of coverage requests and secure data privacy throughout and beyond any application process. Zurich Kemper Life companies, all rated ''A'' by A.M. Best, are the primary insurance carriers.
Crosswalk.com's personal finance area is part of a spectrum of online channels, resources and services that serve the online Christian community. With a focus on ''information for Christians, not just Christian information'', site visitors and members can easily tap into a comprehensive Christian music area, lifestyle channels focusing on issues for men and women, a careers channel with resources to help ''get a life, not just a job,'' and services ranging from online shopping to family-friendly movie reviews to games, chat, forums, local events, news, free e-mail and search.
DIDAX is the first religious corporation to trade on Nasdaq (Symbol: AMEN), and is primarily known as the creator of crosswalk.com(TM) (www.crosswalk.com). The Company generates revenues through the sale of advertising and Christian and family-friendly products manufactured or developed by others (music, books, etc.), memberships in affinity marketing programs (affording participants price discounts and other benefits of group purchasing power), and to a lesser extent, the continuing provision of technology services to Christian organizations (including Promise Keepers, Christianity Today, World Vision, Family Research Council, Young Life and the Presbyterian Church in America).
