Steve.... I found the following post on the Yahoo Board and thought that the last sentence was of particular interest. El

I'm sitting on a bundle of CPQ stock that I've been holding for several
years. I agree with your projections; however, my feeling is based on
gut feel only. Seems like CPQ has been ignored in the media and by
the analyst for a while. They are almost never mentioned when CNBC is
talking about the "high tech" companies anymore. With Intel and AMD
increasing revenue and earnings projections and Compaq being Intel's
largest customer, this tells me that CPQ must be buying a lot more
chips than previously projected and therefore selling alot more PCs
than projected. Also I heard that Best Buy and some other retail
channel parters of CPQ are also showing increases in projected
revenue and earnings due to increased PC sales. With both the raw
material suppliers to CPQ as well as the finished goods retailers
increasing revenue and earnings projections seems to me like CPQ
should be in the money and come in with a blow out 3rd quarter,
especially considering the added revenue and earnings from DEC's
service business and Tandam's server business. I also heard the CFO,
Earl Mason, say in the Bears Stearns conference call last week that
the industry should grow at 15% this year and that CPQ will grow at 2-3 times the industry or 30-45%.
