The United States is the only nation in the world that (a) truly holds its leaders accountable to the people and (b) is not afraid to wash its dirty linen in public. Washing dirty linen may not be a pleasant job, but it makes us a cleaner nation after the job's done.

There are over 4 billion people in this world who's lives would be immensely improved if they were able to hold their leaders to this level of accountability. (Iraq, North Korea, Russia, ...) Perhaps this is the reason that the rest of the world has such serious problems and we don't.

Don't be embarrassed, be proud.
