Why does this remind me of the NYSE rescue efforts in Nov'29???

FWIW Henry's posts are usually solid. But I, for one, cannot
see the Bundesbank supporting anything of a monetary nature
right now. Wim Duisenberg of ECB also said today that there
is "no need for, nor room for, coordinated action" with US Fed
to cut rates. World Bank, supporting the IMF, and with a G7 nod
of approval, could put credits in place (at the right price<g>)
for Brazil bridge loans to aid its rollover. This would, however,
only be a restructuring of existing debt and not expansionary.
