Again, pure speculation, but I have the sense that the "editing" may have occurred as a result of winding and rewinding the tape. There's a lot of hours and it's conceivable that in an effort to "back up" to the last recorded conversation, some portions would have been erased. I don't know if she claimed the tapes were "unedited" so with so little real information, it's hard to see where the investigation is going. I'm fairly confident that she didn't have total control of the tapes while she had them, so there is still the potential of others tampering with them. bp
