Signs Major Software Distribution Agreement for Latin America 1998/08/19 MONTREAL, QUEBEC--Informission Group Inc. announced today it has signed an agreement with DTS Software Latin America Inc. to distribute its RECYC2000( solution as well as its RECYC-ENTERPRISE( set of tools, through its extensive sales network in Latin America.
DTS Software Latin America Inc. is one of the largest distributors of programming tools for corporate systems development and maintenance with U.S. $28 million in sales in 1997. DTS has offices in seven South American cities: Buenos Aires (Argentina); Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre (Brazil); Santiago (Chile); Bogota (Colombia); and Caracas (Venezuela).
The software re-engineering market is growing exponentially in Latin America, especially with the impending arrival of the millennium bug. In the Year 2000 domain alone, the size of the Latin American market is estimated by industry experts to be 3.5 times greater than the Canadian market and equal to one-third of the US market.
