Guess you saw this article indicating that NT 5 may be coming out this Spring. Don't put a lot of stock in it yet but I could see it. Also it appears a 64 bit version of NT was tested on a Merced emulator which would indicate a 64 bit version exists in some form. I read that the upgrade from the completed NT 5 32 bit to the 64 bit version will not be that difficult.

NT 5 this Spring would have some effect on Apple. Would be better if OS X came out first. I kind of assume OS X and a consumer version of NT 5 will be roughly in the same ballpark technology wise. Since MS will be migrating consumer users to a consumer a version of NT sometime after NT 5 is released, it doesn't give Apple much time to shine with OS X. Rich
